Pulled out the fold out couch and there was popcorn and what looked like pretzels under the couch, and shards of broken glass in front of the couch. When we got there, there wasn't even water in the hot tub. I inquired about the hot tub (one of the bigger reasons for booking) before booking and was told it was open and functioning. The shower head was leaky and water sprayed everywhere, so we had to get extra towels for the floor. The tub didn't drain well, so when we finished a shower we were standing in water about shin high. One bathroom tub had a leaky faucet, upon arrival there was about 2' of standing water in the tub. The carpets were stained (judging by all the dogs there, I can only imagine what some of the stains are), the 'tiles' in the kitchen were poking up, causing a trip hazard, so I had to warn my kids to keep shoes on and not trip on the tile. The staff was over the top friendly! The beds were comfy, breakfast was great and location was great. Main Street, part of the historic district, offers shopping and dining and is 2 miles from the hotel. Missouri Southern State University is 10 minutes’ drive away.
